Nokia has acquired a mobile web browser firm Novarra which Is Chicago-based, In a bid to up its smart phone game.


Eleven-year-old Novarra which is known for developing the Vision browser, and platforms to serve content,
advertisements, and analytics. It supplied its technology to Palm and U.S. Cellular previously. [Official Nokia statement]

The acquisition makes sense for nokia which is world`s largest mobile phone maker, w recently for not being aggressive enough in the emerging smart phone market.
